About the Works

• OJSC Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works is one of the oldest plants in the South-East of Ukraine.
• It's a metallurgical Works with the full technological cycle of production.
• OJSC Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works exports its products to more than 60 countries of the world. Rolled steel plates and pig iron are in particular demand on the international market.
• The products manufactured by Alchevsk Works are widely used in shipbuilding, atomic and chemical machine building industries, for production of locomotives, tractors, gas pipe-lines, mining supports, etc.
• The products of Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works are constantly exhibited at the international fairs and exhibitions in Germany, China, England and other countries.

The main goal of OJSC Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works' activity is to manufacture products in full compliance with the customers' demands and the requirements of national and international standards, ensuring the profit for the Works.

Quality Assurance Policy implemented by the management of OJSC Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works imposes responsibility on all the personnel, from the Chairman of the Board to the workers, for proper performance and fulfillment of the customers' requirements for the products' quality.

Implementation of the policy and strategy accepted in the Field of Quality is ensured by:

• the continuous and systematic process of products' quality assurance and management at every production stage;
• the analysis of the elements constituting the products' quality and working out of the ways for its improvement;
• constant working with the suppliers of the raw materials, equipment and the customers with the purpose to improve the products' quality;
• taking all required and sufficient measures to prevent unsatisfactory products' quality;
• participation of all the employees, from the Chairman of the Board to the workers, in work on the improvement of the products' quality;
• systematic personnel training and qualification improvement;
• broad explanatory work, raising of the personnel's consciousness of the importance of the quality assurance;
• constant control of effective functioning of the quality assurance system, carried out by the authorized person.
