About the Company

The Donetsk Metallurgical Plant (DMZ) is one of the oldest steel makers in southern Ukraine. DMZ’s products include over 280 rolled items of different shapes and sizes (bulb strips, special shapes for farming machinery applications, rail fish plates, etc), as well as rolled plates and sheets for shipbuilding applications, thin walled steel tubes, steel furniture framework. DMZ also produces a variety of construction material items (cinder blocks, shaped bricks, granulated slag and some slag-forming mixtures) that are intended for different industry sector applications.

Many years of outstanding performance have brought DMZ to a high standing as a reliable provider of high-quality products. The high quality of the plant’s products was confirmed by a number of the Quality Certificates issued by independent Certification Centers, such as Lloyd’s Registers of England and Germany, the Russia Marine Register, the “Veritas” Bureau in France and Norway, as well as by UkrSEPTO in Ukraine. The Quality Control System employed by DMZ has been certified by the TUV NORD Society as meeting the EN ISO 9001:2000 Standard requirements.

Among our customers are 17 different regions in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Lithuania, along with 45 other countries in Southeast Asia, Middle East, Western and Eastern Europe and Africa.

Currently modernization of the rolling facilities is underway, with the plant’s infrastructure like the Power and Heat Plant, Oxygen Plant, and Foundry being improved. New automatic control systems of production and personnel management are being put into service.
